Sprayer Is Working Intermittently

Tools Required: Philips Screwdriver


Follow along as we troubleshoot a FlowZone® battery powered backpack sprayer that is spraying intermittently.

Step-By-Step Instructions:


STEP 1: Take the Sprayer Cover Off


  1. Remove the battery form the battery holster.
  2. Remove the detachable hose
  3. Unscrew the seven screws that are securing the front cover plate. Note that there are three screws located under the battery door.



STEP 2 : Check Wire Connections



  1. Check the connection from the circuit board to the pump. Make sure it's secure.

  2. Check the connection from the circuit board to the battery holster. Make sure it's secure.

  3. Check the connection from the circuit board to the variable pressure dial. Make sure it's secure.



Note: If all of the connections appear secure, the sprayer's circuit board and microswitch must be replaced.




STEP 3: Close the Sprayer



  1. Once the troubleshooting or repair is complete it is time to close the sprayer.
  2. Secure the front cover plate back to the unit using the seven screws.
  3.  Reattach the removable exterior hose.
